Terms, Conditions, and Disclaimer
Program Overview
Doula Mae Birth Services (“Company”), owned and operated by Samantha Ashley, agrees to provide you with access to the online course entitled Placenta Encapsulation Training & Certification (“Program”).
By enrolling in the Program, you agree to be bound by and comply with all terms, policies, and procedures outlined in this Agreement, including those incorporated by reference.
Incorporated Policies
The Company’s Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and Disclaimer are hereby incorporated by reference into this Agreement. In the event of a conflict between those documents and this Agreement, this Agreement shall govern.
Nature of the Relationship
Nothing in this Agreement shall be construed to create a partnership, joint venture, employment, or agency relationship. The Company provides educational content only.
Information contained in the Program, including interactions with the instructor, is not intended as professional, medical, legal, or healthcare advice and should not be relied upon as such.
Fees
In consideration for access to the Program, you agree to pay the applicable fee disclosed at checkout.
Unless otherwise stated:
The standard course fee is $497 USD
Payment is due immediately upon enrollment
Access to the Program may be suspended if payment is not successfully completed
The Company may offer sales or promotional pricing from time to time. These Terms apply regardless of purchase price.
Payment Plans
If a payment plan is offered and selected, you authorize the Company to automatically charge your chosen payment method according to the terms presented at checkout. Failure to complete scheduled payments may result in suspension or termination of access.
No Refund Policy
All sales are final. The Company does not offer refunds, exchanges, or credits for any reason, including but not limited to lack of participation, failure to complete certification requirements, or change of circumstances.
Program Access
The Program includes access to a digital course area that may contain lessons, videos, quizzes, worksheets, templates, and other educational materials.
Unless otherwise stated at enrollment:
Access is granted for the duration specified at purchase
Certification must be completed within the designated timeframe to qualify
Continued access does not guarantee certification if requirements are not met
Certification
Certification reflects successful completion of course requirements within the stated timeframe. Certification does not constitute licensure, medical authorization, or legal permission to practice.
Participants are solely responsible for ensuring their practice complies with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and professional regulations.
Intellectual Property
All Program content is the sole property of Doula Mae Birth Services and/or Samantha Ashley and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access the Program for personal educational use only.
You may not:
Reproduce, distribute, or sell Program materials
Share login access
Modify or create derivative works
Use content for commercial purposes without written permission
Violation of these terms may result in immediate termination of access without refund.
Confidentiality
You agree to respect the confidentiality of other participants and not disclose private information shared within the Program.
Program materials contain proprietary educational methods and may not be shared outside the Program.
Personal Responsibility
You acknowledge that participation in the Program is voluntary and that you are fully responsible for your actions, decisions, and results.
The Company makes no guarantees regarding outcomes, income, or professional success.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Company shall not be liable for any damages arising from your participation in or use of the Program.
All materials are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the Program is to discontinue participation.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company, its owner, instructors, contractors, and affiliates from any claims, losses, or damages arising from your participation in the Program or violation of this Agreement.
Termination
The Company reserves the right to terminate access to the Program at its sole discretion for violations of these Terms, misconduct, or disruption. No refunds will be issued upon termination.
Arbitration
Any dispute arising out of or related to this Agreement shall be resolved through binding arbitration in the State of Minnesota. You waive the right to class actions or jury trials.
Force Majeure
The Company shall not be liable for delays or failures due to events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, illness, governmental actions, or technical failures.
Entire Agreement
This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between you and the Company regarding the Program and supersedes all prior communications.
Severability
If any provision of this Agreement is deemed unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force.
Effective Date
This Agreement becomes effective upon enrollment in the Program.
Disclaimer
The Placenta Encapsulation Training & Certification is provided for educational purposes only. The Company and instructor are not licensed medical providers and do not diagnose, treat, or prescribe for any condition.
Participants assume full responsibility for how the information is applied in practice. The Company shall not be held liable for any outcomes related to placenta handling, preparation, encapsulation, or consumption.
