Although, life has been bumpy I appreciate the challenges sent my way. As a 2007 high school graduate and a college goer with no solid plan as to where school would take me I now live happily with the less than ordinary path I have taken. My oddities of employment have helped me get in touch with my real passion of working with growing families. I was a nanny from 2011 to 2014, which helped fill my passion for children. I knew it wasn’t my lifelong dream to be a nanny, but it was my start.
In 2012, I became a Certified Nursing Assistant specializing in postnatal and pediatric care. Working in a hospital setting has opened my eyes to the MANY different career paths available that will still allow me to fulfill my passion. I started my doula journey in April 2016, and have enjoyed learning about the birth community and will continually educate myself to better serve those in need of support.
In my personal time I enjoy being around my large family. I am the oldest of six children, the youngest will be two in January. I am a role model for my younger siblings which has encouraged me to pursue my dreams of helping families grow.
Although, I don’t have a family of my own I hope to in the near future. Meanwhile, I call myself mama to a four year old pit bull! Her name is Sadie and she definitely adores people of all ages.
I have been blessed with many opportunities to explore the world and a variety of cultures. In the meantime I hope to encourage, support and empower you and your family during one of life's most cherished events.
