Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all virtual classes and educational offerings provided by Doula Mae Birth Services, including but not limited to Confident Birth Basics (CBB) and Body Ready Birth (BRB). By purchasing and participating in any class, you agree to the following terms.

1. Nature of Services

All classes, materials, and information provided through Doula Mae Birth Services are educational in nature only.

They are not intended to replace medical care, diagnosis, or treatment. Participation in classes does not establish a provider–patient or client–provider relationship.

You are encouraged to discuss any questions, concerns, or decisions related to pregnancy, labor, or birth with your chosen healthcare provider.

2. Educational & Movement Disclaimer

Some classes include gentle movement, position changes, breathwork, and body awareness practices intended to support comfort, confidence, and preparation for birth.

By participating, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Participation in movement is voluntary and self-directed

  • You are responsible for listening to your body and choosing what feels appropriate

  • You may modify or stop any movement at any time

  • You are responsible for consulting your healthcare provider if you have questions about participating in movement-based activities

Doula Mae Birth Services is not responsible for any discomfort, injury, or outcomes related to participation in movement or educational activities.

3. Assumption of Risk & Limitation of Liability

By participating in classes, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with your participation.

You agree that Doula Mae Birth Services, its owner, instructors, and affiliates shall not be held liable for:

  • Birth outcomes or medical decisions

  • Physical, emotional, or psychological responses to class content

  • Any injuries, complications, or outcomes that may occur before, during, or after pregnancy or birth

4. Payment & Refund Policy

Payment is required in full at the time of registration.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Class purchases are non-refundable

  • Transfers to a future session may be offered at the discretion of Doula Mae Birth Services

  • If Doula Mae Birth Services must cancel or reschedule a class, participants will be offered a transfer or refund

5. Class Access & Delivery

Classes are delivered virtually via Zoom.

  • Live sessions may not be recorded unless explicitly stated

  • Access details will be provided via email prior to class

  • Participants are responsible for ensuring they have adequate technology and internet access

If you are unable to attend a live session, access to materials or alternative options may be offered at the discretion of Doula Mae Birth Services.

6. Intellectual Property

All class content, materials, videos, handouts, and resources are the intellectual property of Doula Mae Birth Services.

Materials are provided for personal use only and may not be:

  • Recorded

  • Shared

  • Distributed

  • Sold or reproduced

without written permission.

7. Code of Conduct

Participants are expected to engage respectfully during live sessions.

Doula Mae Birth Services reserves the right to remove participants from a class without refund if behavior is disruptive, disrespectful, or unsafe.

8. Agreement

By completing your purchase and checking the agreement box at checkout, you confirm that you:

  • Have read and understood these Terms & Conditions

  • Agree to participate voluntarily

  • Accept full responsibility for your participation
